Pannu submits report to chief secretary

On Thursday, Pannu submitted a detailed report to Punjab chief secretary Rakesh Singh on the incident in which a group of Sikh pilgrims in Uttarakhand had manhandled him last week when he was supervising the relief and rescue operations in the flood-ravaged hill state.

Pannu has sought necessary action on his report.  The chief secretary is expected to forward the report to the director general of police, who will treat it as Pannu's complaint to get on with the investigation.
