The Panjab University has finally decided to give five-minute slots on its community radio Jyotirgamaya for campaigning to students fighting for the student council elections.

An official spokesperson said, "The students contesting for different posts for the student council are to send their request for recording a five-minute message, which will be broadcast on the Panjab University radio station."

The applications are to be submitted to dean students' welfare office. The candidates have also been advised to submit a two-page power point presentation (PPT) for display on the Panjab University website. Alternatively, one panel of four candidates can also submit an eight- page PPT, which will be displayed on the PU website.

PU Community Radio Station Jyotirgamaya is available on 91.2 MHz and can be listened in the radius of 10 kilometers from PU.

The numbing conformity

What is the best antidote for seasonal active disorder (which is just a fancy name for winter blues): a party, of course! Well it is December, the party month; and as a testimony, all of us have dozens of invites sitting on our side table for attending a wedding, Christmas, New Year and not to forget a Lohri bash.
