Panchkula Management Association (PMA), a registered organisation, held its first annual general meeting at Hotel Pallavi, Sector 5, Panchkula, on Saturday.

In his presidential address, president, Dr Gopal Munjal, outlined the achievements of the association made so far and said that one year was too small period for any organisation to achieve some meaningful milestones.

However, he said that the endeavour of the organisation had always been to engage itself in the deliberations to improve the health and educational infrastructure in Panchkula. He said that no country could progress without innovation in these areas. Presently, our industry was not research driven and lacks innovation. The association will reorient its activities to fill this gap.

Dr Munjal said that as a part of social responsibility, the association should use its platform to develop the outlook of younger generation so that they do not fall prey to depressing outgoings in the country. He said that in the coming year PMA would undertake activities in a planned way so that the objectives were fulfilled.

JN Vohra, honorary secretary of the association presented glimpses of various activities undertaken by the PMA during 2012-13. He said that membership of PMA was growing significantly and in the near future endeavour would be to get PMA affiliated with All India Management Association.
