Police identify men who attacked father-son duo

The local police have identified three persons, who allegedly attacked a 49-yearold man and his son, and also fired two gun shots in the air on Saturday.

The accused have been identified Karan Walia, Karan alias Kanu and Monty Shah. The police have recovered two live cartridges from the backside of the victim’s residence. A car, used in the crime, has also been recovered by the police. The accused, along with others, had attacked victims, Rajkumar, 49, and his son Bhiwani, 29, with batons and sharp-edged weapons. The accused reached the victims’ house in two cars, around10.30pm on Saturday.

The police have recovered two shells from the spot. The police claimed that the assailants had old enmity with Shivcharan, elder son of Rajkumar, lodged in the Burail jail in a murder case registered at Sector 11 police station.

According to police, Kanu, who was recently released from Burail jail, had an alteration with Shivcharan. A case under sections 452 (criminal trespass), 506 (criminal intimidation), 323 (voluntarily causing) and 34 (act done by several persons) of the IPC has been registered at Sector 26 police station.

Canada's prime minister Stephen Harper, hid in a cupboard used to store electrical boxes and ladder while a gunbattle ensued in a nearby hallway of the parliament building in Ottawa this week, it emerged on Friday.
