The police are yet to arrest the three youths who on Thursday allegedly thrashed a Chandigarh Police constable, who objected to the accused harassing his wife, also a cop.

The trio allegedly sexually harassed and passed lewd remarks at the policewoman before beating up her husband in Sector 27.

Though the couple had noted down the Swift car's registration number (CH-44T-4663) and provided it to the police, investigations have revealed that it was not the vehicle used in the crime.

The police had initially claimed that the car was traced to Dera Bassi. A source in the police department said efforts were on to track the accused.
