The five-member probe panel looking into a complaint by an employee of the Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO), regarding sexual harassment by a departmental head, held a hearing on Wednesday.

Acting director Amod Kumar said the victim had asked him to look into the case on June 27, after which he had referred the case to the sexual harassment committee on July 3.

“The committee heard the case on Wednesday. I cannot comment on the matter as long as a report is not submitted by the committee,” said Kumar.
The victim had alle ged that she was being sexually harassed right since she had joined the organisation, following which she had gone into depression.

She had also alleged that the accused had shifted her workstation close to his and had played obscene videos in her presence.
The victim had also claimed that due to such behaviour she had been admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, where she had received counselling.
