Punjab technical education minister Madan Mohan Mittal was the guest of honour, while Aryans Group of Colleges chairman Anshu Kataria presided over the event.

The objectives of the expedition are to project Punjab as an education hub in the neighboring states, spread anti-drugs messages and boost adventure and sports activities among students and faculties.
