Punjab puts ban on transfers and postings

The Punjab government has put a ban on the transfers and postings for the year 2013-14.
 
Disclosing this on Tuesday an official spokesperson of the Punjab government said that time period for routine transfers in the state was from August 1 to August 31 and now as per policy there is provision of midterm transfers only. 
 
He said that midterm transfers and postings in special cases should be done considering the instructions of the transfer policy and with the prior permission of the chief minister.
 
The spokesperson further said that written instructions about government orders have been sent to the heads of all the departments, divisional commissioners and sub-divisional magistrates (civil), and chairmen and managing directors of all the corporations and boards.
