Rain lashes several part of HP

Rains lashed several part of Himachal Pradesh on Saturday afternoon even as clear weather prevailed across the state.


The capital town was lashed by showers which lasted for one hour but later it was mainly dry.
Moreover, Rampur in Shimla district recorded 5mm rain and Banjar in Kullu 3mm.

The mercury went down sharply as minimum temperature at Keylong in Lahaul Spiti district was 3.5 degree Celcius and Kalpa in Kinnaur 4 degrees. Manali in Kullu recorded 6.4 degrees, Bhuntar 9.7 degrees, Shimla, Solan and Sundernagar in Mandi 13 degrees each, Mandi 14 degrees, Dharamsala 15 degrees, Una 16 degrees and Palampur 17 degrees and Nahan in Sirmour 21 degrees.

The Met office forecast rain or snow in the high reaches of state, but the rest of the state was expected to remain mainly dry.
