Rayat College holds Panjab varsity zonal teaching contest

Rayat College of Education, Railmajra, Rupnagar organized the Panjab University Zonal (zone A) skill in teaching and on the spot preparation of teaching aid competitions.

Teams from 11 colleges of the zone participated in the event. The subjects included were teaching of mathematics, science, home science, computer science and music.

Panjab University senate member Dr Ajay Ranga was the chief guest on the occasion. Campus director Prof SC Bedi distributed the prizes to the winners.

Rayat College of Education principal Dr Jagdeep Kaur was also present on the occasion.

Livleen Kaur of BCM College of Education, Ludhiana got the first prize in teaching of science event, Radhika Bali of BCM College of Education, Ludhiana got the first prize in teaching of mathematics, Neha Gupta of Dev Samaj College of Education, Chandigarh won the first prize in teaching of home science, Shabnam of Government College of Education, Chandigarh, won the first prize in teaching of music, Tarrannum Bhasin of Dev Samaj College of Education, Chandigarh got the first position in teaching of computer science.

It is status quo for city

The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has approved the budget for Chandigarh for the remaining financial year, pegging the plan head at 813 crore, a paltry increase of 15 lakh from the previously sanctioned 812.85 crore. The increase has gone to art and culture.
