The people who bought plots in the illegal colonies and have applied for regularisation will get the certificates by July 22.
The Punjab government has directed the urban local bodies to release the papers to all who have paid full regularisation fees. “The local bodies department has conveyed the order to all competent authorities within and outside municipal limits,” a spokesman stated here on Thursday.
The plot holders who have not paid 100% regularisation fees can deposit the requisite amount within 15 days. The plots sold before the enacting of the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act, 1995, in illegal colonies developed before August 9, 1995, cannot be regularised under this policy but the plots sold later are covered.
An official campaign is on to check nearly 5,000 illeagal colonies from mushrooming in the state.
