Rohtak college alumnus is deputy lieutenant in UK

Dr Satya Vrat Sharma, member of the order of British Empire, and an alumnus of medical college, Rohtak, has been appointed deputy lieutenant for West Midlands County of the United Kingdom (UK). His name for this prestigious appointment was approved by The Queen of UK. A gazette notification in this regard was issued on April 29.

In a release, Sharma said only six persons of Wolverhampton have been awarded the title of deputy lieutenant. He is the only one from among ethnic minorities chosen for the title.
