Rs 21 lakh for U'khand flood victims

A delegation of the Youth Akali Dal (YAD), led by its president, revenue and public relations minister Bikram Singh Majithia, on Tuesday called on Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal to hand over a cheque for Rs. 21 lakh as assistance towards the CM's relief fund for the Uttarakhand flood victims.

Referring to his meeting with the Uttarakhand CM, Badal said the former had appreciated the relief efforts made by the Punjab government in the flood-ravaged state.
