Sarabjit's elder daughter Swapandeep Kaur chose to be silent and said, 'I don't want to utter a single word on this.'

Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh has been lodged in Lahore's Kot Lakhpat jail for more than two decades.

On a death row, Sarabjit and his family had got some hope when few months back Pakistan first announced his release. But the hope faded when hours later Pakistan decided to set free another prisoner Surjit Singh.

The family had, at that time, termed it as a cruel joke by the neighbouring country.

'Hanging of Kasab may put Sarabjit's release in dock' Nayyar

Commenting on Ajmal Kasab's execution, noted veteran journalist Kuldip Nayar said there are no two opinions on whether Ajmal Kasab should have been hanged or not, but the good thing is that the he was hanged after following due course of law.
