Sector-15 house ransacked; Rs. 3.6 lakh, jewellery stolen

An unidentified person broke into a locked house in Sector 15 here and decamped with Rs. 3.6 lakh cash and gold jewellery worth lakhs of rupees. In her complaint, the victim Bhanu Jain reported that a diamond pendant set, diamond tops, five pairs tops, two rings, one chain, pearl gold pendant were missing, in addition to the cash. The house was ransacked and all cupboards were found open.


Police were informed and the cops reached the spot with a dog squad. A Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory (CFSL) team also visited the spot and took samples.

A case under Sections 457 (house lurking or house-breaking) and 380 (theft in house) has been registered at the Sector-11 police station. No arrest has been made so far.
