Following Kurukshtera, Kaithal and Yamuna Nagar incidents on Wednesday, the security around Manji Sahib and Panjokhra Sahib gurudwaras here has been beefed up.

Sources said that additional forces have been deployed around these shrines to ward of any untoward incident.

For more than a fortnight, supporters of  SAD (Badal) and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) had been camping at the said gurdwara to resist any move of taking over by the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee supporters.

Former SAD president Sukhdev Singh Gobindgarh and other Sikh leaders camping at the gurdwaras have declared that under no circumstances they would allow the forcible takeover of Sikh shrines.
