Sex racket busted in Ambala

The local police claimed to have busted a sex racket in Cantt Aanaj Mandi here on Friday.Sources said a case has been registered at the Cantt police station under the Immoral Trafficking Act after arresting three girls - Sapna, Ponam and Komal - and two boys - Bharat and Vinay.


Officials said the suspects would be produced in the court on Saturday.

They said the police acted after receiving an anonymous complaint.

Local residents said the suspects had opened a fake office in the name of SBI life insurance and the girls allegedly called people and requested them to visit the office.

Thereafter, they allegedly enticed them for sex on hefty charges and a room in the rear was used for the purpose, while the boys used to guard the premises.

Residents said the goings on in the office had generated suspicion following which the police were informed.

Officials said a policeman was sent as decoy customer and the premises were raided on his information.
