A popular face in the regional cinema of South India, the 26-year-old has acted in both Telugu and Tamil films such as Mr. Perfect and Aadukalam.

“Moving to Mumbai was a conscious decision and it’s something that I have been planning for long. I had been living out of my suitcase, so it made complete sense to have a place here that I can call home,” Taapsee said in a statement. The Delhi-born actor’s next Bollywood outing, Running is in post-production now.

Cast alongside actor Amit Sadh, the romcom revolves around a matrimonial website that helps people elope and get married.
