Dense fog leading to poor visibility yet again became the reason for cancellation of three flights from the city airport on Saturday. The flights which were cancelled included the morning SpiceJet flight from Chandigarh to Delhi which departs at 10.25am, Air India's Chandigarh-Delhi flight which departs at 11.25am and Jet Airways Chandigarh-Delhi 5.15pm flight.

Several other flights were also delayed. The Go Air flight to Mumbai which departs from the city at 11.15am departed at about 2.15pm. Another Indigo flight to Mumbai was late by around an hour and a half. The flight which departs at 12.20pm departed at 1.49pm instead.

The Jet Airways 12.45pm flight to Mumbai departed at 2.59pm, while its 12.55pm flight to Delhi departed at 4.40pm.

The officials said the airlines had to suspend their operations in lieu of poor visibility at the Delhi airport.
