Good morning! You just realised that it is Mother’s Day today, and like every year, you have forgotten to buy your mother a gift! What will you do now? Will you sheepishly hug her and forget about it, or will you do something to make her smile? This is what you can still do to brighten up your mother’s special day, beginning with not scowling, because it’s a Sunday!

Make her a meal
No, ordering pizza does not count. Prepare a meal for her, or bake a cake if you can. For the kitchen-unfriendly ones, you can still make the simple things like Maggi, or if you can’t do even that, just arrange a lovely high tea. Serve tea in beautiful teacups accompanied by some nice biscuits, and your mommy dearest will be really glad.

Take her shopping
How about a day of shopping and lunch with your mom? You are used to doing it with your friends, so treat your mom to a day of your company and watch her enjoy the quality time you spend together.

Make her a gift
If you are an artsy one, you can make her little knickknacks like origami flowers, bead necklaces or handmade photo-frames. If you can’t do any of this, just make her a card and trust us, it will suffice.

Watch a movie together
Find out the name of her favourite movie and watch it with her - the best option if you’re broke and don’t want to venture out on a Sunday.

Clean your room
If you don’t want to do any of the things we’ve mentioned here, the simplest way to sweep your mom off her feet is to clean your room - she will be pleasantly surprised. In case you want to go a little further, clean up the entire house to see her glow with happiness!
