Trials to select team for World Kabaddi League

The last round of trials to select the Punjab team for the upcoming World Kabaddi League will be conducted at Guru Nanak Dev Stadium on June 14 at 11:30 am. More than 200 players from the state are expected to appear for these trials. Pragat Singh, commissioner of the World Kabaddi League, will be present at the venue while Munish Chander from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) will be closely observing the trials to ensure fair and unbiased selection of the team.

Singh said, “As many as 615 players participated in the first round of trials. 315 players, including 147 raiders and 168 stoppers, have been selected for the next round. The players will be selected on the basis of gradation and merit and dope tests are mandatory for them.” He added that players should bring their passport size photographs and original passports for the trials.
