Truck, tipper catch fire after collision on highway

A truck and a tipper were burnt in fire after they collided on national highway number 205 near Bunga Sahib on Saturday night.

As per information, the vehicles were going towards Rupnagar from Kiratpur Sahib. When they reached near Bunga Sahib village, the truck driver turned his vehicle to one side. As a result, the tipper, which was coming behind the truck, hit the truck and both the vehicles caught fire.

The passersby rescued both the drivers and cleaners of the vehicles; but one of the cleaners received serious injuries in the accident. By the time the fire was brought under control by the fire brigade, both the vehicles were gutted.
