The woman has been booked under section 419 (punishment for cheating by personation) of the Indian Penal Code IPC and the Information Technology Act.

Vikas Goyal, a resident of Hyderabad, and Akshita, a resident of Sector 12-A of Panchkula, are fighting a legal battle in a Panchkula court. Earlier, Goyal was facing a dowry case too, but got acquitted.

In another case, the lower court fixed the maintenance to be paid to the woman and his son at `30,000. Goyal filed an appeal which is pending before the court of additional district and sessions judge in Panchkula. The court recently had ordered both of them to file I-T returns.

Goyal told the police in his complaint that he had filed all I-T returns but that of 2013-14 was pending as he had recently changed his job. But on April 5, he got to know that someone had filed his I-T return online.

Goyal, in his complaint, alleged that his wife filed his I-T return to get high maintenance.

The computer through which the I-T return was filed had been located to Delhi.
