Facing Opposition heat over graft charges, chief minister Virbhadra Singh today said he would not succumb to the BJP's "tactics" to disrupt the assembly proceedings and divert attention from their wrong doings.
Singh said the government will, despite the disruption, go ahead with the agenda of the Monsoon Session.
"The Congress Legislature Party (CLP) had discussed strategy in the wake of BJP disrupting the House proceedings at the cost of democratic norms and assembly rules but we will not react to them," Singh told reporters here.
Dismissing media reports regarding bickering in the CLP,he said, the council of ministers, party MLAs and four independent MLAs are backing him and there is "no need for any show of strength".
Referring to reports that he had been summoned by party high command, he said there was no truth in these reports as, "Nobody has called me and my visit to Delhi at the weekend was pre-planned but I am not going now and have cancelled the visit".
Singh, has been facing corruption charges lately over "hiding facts" about finances and the opposition BJP has been demanding his resignation over the issue.
Dubbing the behaviour and conduct of BJP in the state assembly as "shameful", the chief minister alleged it is a reflection of "inept and immature leadership" as "the leader of opposition, who is facing some serious cases in which challans are being put up, is creating ruckus to hide his own embarrassment".
"He is making counter-allegations to divert attention of people from his own cases," he said.
He said there is no reason for BJP's protest on the issue "as neither any agency, nor the court has made any adverse comment against him." "But it hardly matters to me as people of Himachal Pradesh know me, as well as P K Dhumal, very well" he said.
"The opposition is resorting to allegations and abuses, which are against the decorum of assembly and a sign of frustration," he said.
The chief minister said there was no deadlock in the assembly from the government side.
"We are ready to discuss any issue in the Vidhan Sabha, raised in accordance with the rule and permission of the chair," he said.
