Windowpanes of two cars broken, documents stolen

Cash and documents were stolen from two cars after breaking open their windowpanes. Ramesh Bajaj of Sector 32-D reported that someone had stolen a bag containing documents from Innova Car (CH-05D-4817) and another bag containing Rs. 4,000 in cash.


Documents from Verna car (CH-01-AQ-1712) which belonged to Bani of Sector 20-A were also stolen by breaking its windowpanes. Both cars were parked near Kukhrain Bhawan, Sector 35, on Friday.
The police said efforts were on to track the thieves.

Meanwhile, four cases of theft were reported to Chandigarh police from across the city.
Sandeep Kumar of Dadumajra Colony reported that someone had stolen his scooty (CH-01-AD-2911) from the parking of Sector 22-B. Kamal Goswami of Sector 27 reported that someone had stolen Activa scooter (CH-04B-7315) from outside his house.

Ramanjeet Singh of Sector 35-D reported that someone had stolen his Verna car (CH-01-AJ-6953) from outside his house on Thursday. In a separate incident, Ayush Manchanda of Sector 32 reported that someone had stolen two gold bangles from his house.The police have registered separate cases of theft in all incidents.
