When a particular film is based on friendship and unending fun, the music plays a vital role in maintaining the pace and giving direction to the film. Each and every song and each and every word in the lyrics were prepared keeping in mind the same for upcoming Punjabi film ‘Yaaran Da Katchup’.

The movie has a total of seven songs. The heartthrob and the famous singer and actor, after huge success of “Soch”, Hardy Sandhu is in the main lead and has sung two songs ‘Munda Sohna’ and ‘Propose Thokna’. Bollywood playback singer Alisha Chinai has sung Nede Nede song and Labh Janjua who has given playback to Salman and Akshay Kumar has also done a song. Gurnazar and Sahil are the other two singers. Music has been composed by B. Praak, GK, Gurnazar and Sahil. Lyrics have been penned down by Gurnazar and Jaani. Background score is by Raju Rao from Bollywood who does the background for Bhatt movies mostly.
Producer Vikram Bansal told that each and every member of the production team was chosen after a lot of thinking and planning, just to fit the character they are playing, “from day one, I was sure that my music team would work according to the demand of the story. These days whenever I call the people I know, I find the songs of my film as their caller tune” says he.
The movie is touted as being ‘technically’ perfect with a handpicked crew of forward thinking technicians. After all, let’s not forget it is the technicians who make the film come to fruition. Director Abhay Baiju Chhabra has gained experience as an associate director infilms produced by Prakash Jha like Rajneeti and Apharan. Editor Bunty Nagi is a Bollywood veteran with a dozen movies like Shootout at Wadala, Zila Gaziyabad, Carry on Jatta and Kya Kool hai hum amongst others to his credit.
Choreographer Piyush Panchal has assisted Farah Khan in various movies whereas Richard Burton is associated with movies like Revolver Rani, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gum and Dil Toh Pagal Hai. Action Director K Ganesh is one of the biggest names for Action in the South Film Industry and is known for directing the fight sequences of the original Rowdy Rathore. His 19 years of experience can be seen in many hit movies. The Story & Screenplay is by Rubina who is credited for the freshness in the story.
Through Yaaran Da Katchup, they all aspire to carve a niche for stylish movies limited not only to Pollywood but Bollywood as well as the movie is aimed at touching the likes of hindi speaking audiences too.
