To survey the measurements for metro stations, a team from Chennai was in the city on Friday.

Giving details, MC commissioner RK Verma, said, "The team is here for taking measurements of the stations to be constructed. We have already conducted the survey but they will be re-surveying the problematic stations proposed. They will take around 10 days to complete the survey."

Meanwhile, the MC officials themselves were unaware of the details of the survey being done by the Chennai team.

On the one hand senior town planner Himmat Batra said additional commissioner technical HS Khosa would be able to give the details, on the other hand, Khosa shifted the responsibility to Batra.

However, Batra said, "All I know is that the Chennai team will submit the final survey report to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). After studying the report, the DMRC will submit the plan to Ludhiana Municipal Corporation and Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB). We are not sure of the time this process will take."
