Aapna Punjab Party (APP) president Sucha Singh Chhotepur said on Monday that the party will release its first list of 12 candidates on November 9.
The former convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) added that his party will field candidates on all seats in the state. The candidates being announced will have the backing of the recently created Punjab Front of suspended AAP MP Dr Dharamvira Gandhi, said Chhotepur.
Meanwhile in a statement issued here on Monday, Chhotepur condemned the Punjab government for denying permission for holding Sarbat Khalsa. He said government is crushing growing dissent and freedom of speech. “Every organisation has a right to exercise its right of freedom of expression without fear, holds its functions as long as they are peaceful, do not endanger peace and are held after seeking due permissions,” he said.
“The government by design is trying to create a fear psychosis to take away the focus from already deteriorated law and order situation by denying such permission saying it apprehends deterioration of law and order,” he added.
