Convener of the Punjab unit of the Aam Aadmi Party Sucha Singh Chhotepur, on Friday, warned Patiala MP Dharamvira Gandhi against his continuous criticism of the party and its chief Arvind Kejriwal and said that he could also meet the same fate that Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav had met. Both were expelled from the party in April.

Sucha Singh was here to attend the bhog ceremony of the mother of district convener Jeevan Singh Fauji. "We cannot afford to have members who keep criticising the party and its chief in the open. You are welcome to give your suggestions and inputs to the party, but not publicly," said Sucha Singh.

On the upcoming rallies in the state, Sucha Singh said that the party would hold rallies in the state from September 2 to 30 and a total of 39 rallies would be organised by clubbing three assembly segments in one unit across the state.

The party would highlight the failures of the state government in checking corruption, the drug menace and the plight of farmers.

He said that besides leaders from New Delhi, only Bhagwant Mann (Sangrur) and Sadhu Singh (Faridkot) from Punjab have confirmed their participation in the rallies while there has been no assurance so far from Dharamvira Gandhi (Patiala) and Harendra Khalsa (Fatehgarh Sahib).

Criticising the state government over the drug issue, Chhotepur came close to support the Congress' claim of 70% drug addicts in the state.
"I cannot tell an exact figure in per cent but everybody knows how this drug menace has destroyed a generation. You can find the drug flow near colleges and institutions."

He demanded that MLAs should undergo dope test and deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal can lead the drive by undergoing it first.

On being asked as to why Kejriwal has extended support to the Lalu-Nitish alliance in Bihar, Chhotepur said that the party would share stage only with Nitish Kumar, who carries a clean image. "I am sure that Arvind Kejriwal will only share stage with Nitish Kumar, who is hailed in Bihar for his clean image. Kejriwal will never share stage with scam- tainted Laloo Prasad Yadav."
