A meeting of the Institute Management Committee (IMC) of the Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) was held on Thursday to discuss various issues relating to research and operations.
The committee comprising assistant director-general, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and Dr KK Singh, Dr PG Patil, Dr N Prasad from the ICAR met under the chairmanship of director CIPHET (acting) Dr SN Jha.
Jha appreciated the newly developed technologies by the institute, including makhana popping machine, cryogenic grinder and bael pulper machine.
Jha informed the members about the achievements of the institution and the research work being carried out in the past one year. “The institute has made significant progress in terms of patents, revenue collection and improvement in administration,” he said. CIPHET food grains and oilseeds division head Dr RK Gupta, Dr Parsoon Verma and senior administrative officer Raj Kumar were also present on the occasion.
