City-based Health and Creative Club organised a dance contest, 'Battle of Dance', at Nehru Sidhant Kendra on Sunday evening. Hundreds of children participated in the contest.

They presented various dance forms that left the audience spellbound. Member of Parliament Ravneet Singh Bittu, member of legislative assembly Bharat Bhushan Ahsu, deputy commissioner Rajat Agarwal, industry board chairman Madan Lal Bagga and many other eminent personalities graced the occasion with their presence. Not only parents of participants, but school principals were also attended the event.

Most parents conceded that children these days were extremely lucky as there were ample platforms for them to showcase talent.

A parent said, “Not just city-based NGO's are coming forward to provide talent hunt platforms, but television industry too is making best effort in this direction. After every few months, a new contest is launched.”

The organisers, Shanu Sharma Chandna and Rajesh Verma, opined that all students gave their best and it became difficult for the judges to declare the results. The competition was judged by Sudama Minz, who is the assistant of choreographer Saroj Khan, along with Pollywood choreographer Raj KC and Shrikant. Special prizes were distributed to the winners at the end.
