City industrialists plan to meet deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal to appraise him about different issues and problems related to the industry in the city. A delegation under Federation of Industrial and Commercial Organisations has already asked state government officials to fix an appointment with Badal.

City's industry has been reeling under taxes for a long time, problems in VAT refund and many others issues related to different industries.

The business community is also infuriated over the lack of infrastructure in the city which, in turn, has also affected several ventures for industrialists.

Gurmeet Kular, president of FICO said that the delegation would meet Sukhbir Badal to request him to pay attention on the industry in Ludhiana so that it progresses like other industrial cities of the country.

“There were some tax related issues as well that state government needs to address. We are hopeful that SAD as an alliance partner of NDA would now give proper attention to the Ludhiana industry for its welfare and all issues would be sorted out soon” said Kular.
