City youth celebrates World Photography Day

Rogan Kingston once said, “A camera is a save button for the mind’s eye”. Same is the view of city folks who are passionate about photography.

To celebrate World Photography Day on Tuesday, photography admirer from the city went together to let the hobby perpetuate, forming an amateur photography club known as Ludhiana Photography Enthusiasts Group (LPEG).

Most of them are working professionals, students, and industrialists.

Coming from different background and different parts of the city through social networking sites such as facebook and they found a common connection with their craze for photography.

Jatin Malhotra expressed her view, celebrating two years of LPEG on the World Photography Day, said, “The idea of coming together is to enjoy photography together and learn from one another. Different members have different interest in diverse genres of photography, including macro, composition, wildlife, portrait photography. So here we exchange ideas from other members.”

Akshay Chaudhary, who is just 16-years-old, said, “It is going to be a common platform for the city youth to learn and share the art of photography.”

Pratibha Arora, a 25-year-old girl in the team shares, “Selfies is not photography .These days phone cameras have eliminated the taste of DSLR cameras and the taste of photography.”
