CM Amarinder to unfurl national flag in Gurdaspur on Independence Day

Amarinder has also deputed his cabinet colleagues to preside over the Independence Day celebrations at various district headquarters.

Chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh will unfurl the national flag in Gurdaspur on the occasion of Independence Day on August 15.

Stating this on Wednesday, a chief minister’s office (CMO) spokesperson also said Vidhan Sabha speaker Rana KP Singh will hoist the Tricolour at Patiala.

He said Amarinder has also deputed his cabinet colleagues to preside over the Independence Day celebrations at various district headquarters.

Health minister Brahm Mohindra will unfurl the flag at Ludhiana, local government minister Navjot Singh Sidhu at Ferozepur, finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal at Mansa, forests minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot at Hoshiarpur, rural development and panchayats minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa at Jalandhar, irrigation and power minister Rana Gurjit Singh at Amritsar and technical education minister Charanjit Singh Channi at Faridkot.

Minister of state for education Aruna Chaudhary will hoist the Tricolour at Sangrur, minister of state for public works Razia Sultana at Bathinda and Vidhan Sabha deputy speaker Ajaib Singh Bhatti at Ropar.
