CMC organises annual ophthalmology quiz

Christian Medical College and Hospital's (CMCH) ophthalmology department organised the 11th Annual Ophthalmic Quiz and Awareness talk on Tuesday.

CMCH director Dr AG Thomas, the chief guest on the occasion, encouraged and appreciated the efforts of the department and students in organizing this academic session and also in spreading awareness of eye disorders.

Of the 36 undergraduate MBBS teams, four teams qualified for the fianls, conducted by Dr Nitin Batra and Dr Gurvinder Kaur.

Karan Soni and Himanshu Verma from the 2011 batch emerged winners in the closely contested quiz.
The event also saw Sneha Liz Jacob of the 2010 batch was given a special award of honour for securing a university distinction in the MBBS Ophthalmology professional examination.

Prabhujot John presented interesting talks on 'Path-breaking inventions in Ophthalmology and Community Based Rehabilitation'.

Principal Dr SM Bhatti, medical superintendent Dr Kanwal Masih and others were present on the occasion.
