Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Haryana secretary Chander Prakash Kathuria has blamed the Congress for its "causal approach" on public issues.

"Chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda had, in October last year, inaugurated a solid waste management plant at Shekhupura Suhana village near here but it is still non-functional," Kathuria told the media here.

"The incomplete plant is a cruel a joke on the residents of Karnal. It was meant to get rid of waste but it has itself become a cause of nuisance," he said, adding that local legislator Sumita Singh and other Congress leaders had claimed that the Hooda government cared for the city but it did not seem so.

The BJP leader said that unprecedented delay in the completion of flyovers on the national highway-1 had failed to invite any reaction from the Congress legislator. "The incomplete project is causing accidents and traffic blockades but the elected representatives of the Congress are unmoved. It is unfortunate that the MLA had not raised these issues in the assembly," Kathuria alleged.

He added that demand to shift the inter-state bus terminus was pending for the past 10 years.
