Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Satpal Singh Satti on Tuesday alleged that some leaders of the ruling party and government officials were working to insult the government.

In a press statement issued here, he said, “Some politicians of the ruling party wanted to control the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) and some officials were helping them. The recent decision of the high court has exposed the government that is working with spite.”

Advising the government, Satti said the government should not act with spite. “The government's recent decision had raised a question mark on the future of the youth of the state,” he added.

The government should not repeat such action in future and work for the betterment of the state with positive attitude, said Satti.

He said after the high court's intervention, the government had to roll back the decision of cancelling the land lease. “The high court termed the government's decision as unconstitutional and undemocratic,” he added.
