Cong leaders warned of disciplinary action

District Congress Committee(DCC) Rupnagar spokesman Rajeshwar Lali on Monday said disciplinary action would be taken against congress leaders ,who had been opposing the district party president Harbhag Singh Saini and new appointments made in the district Congress if they failed to desist from their acts of ‘indiscipline’.

While talking to media persons here on Monday Lali said t it had been noticed that some Congress leaders had issued statements against him and . He said by doing so , these leaders were challenging the authority of All India Congress Committee(AICC) president Sonia Gandhi and Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee(PPCC) president Partap Singh Bajwa ,who had appointed Saini as DCC president.

He said these leaders were also issuing statements against the appointment of new block presidents in the district congress by DCC president with the approval of Partap Singh Bajwa.

Lali urged these leaders to desist from such activities.

It may be mentioned that former minister Romesh Dutt Sharma,former member legislative assembly(MLA) Rana KP Singh and some other leaders have been opposing the appointment of Harbhag Singh Saini and have refused to accept him as DCC president.They have also opposed the removal of three block president of the congress in the district and appointment of new presidents in their place.
