Cong's 2.5 years rule in state: Sukhu directs party units to ensure participation in June 25 rally

Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC) president Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday directed all Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), Block Congress Committee (BCC), District Congress Committee (DCC), frontal organisations and PCC department office bearers to ensure their participation in Una's June 25 rally, which is being organised to celebrate two-and-half-years rule of Congress government in Himachal.

HPCC spokesperson Sanjay Singh Chauhan said that the instructions had been issued to party office bearers to make the rally a mega success and Sukhu had also urged the party office bearers to spread awareness about the achievements of the Congress government among masses.

He said that after coming into power, the Congress government had adopted the party's election manifesto as policy documents and fulfilled all the poll promises. "Congress government in Himachal has also launched various policies and programmes for the welfare of all sections of the society," he said.

Chauhan added that Sukhu appointed PCC office bearers to oversee mobilisation of party workers at district level. "PCC presidents Chander Kumar will oversee party workers mobilisation in Chamba, Kangra DCCs, Gangu Ram Musafir in Shimla, AN Vidyarthi in Kullu, Harsh Mahajan in Mandi and Rangila Ram Rao in Hamirpur, while general secretaries, Ram Lal Thakur will oversee party workers mobilisation in Una, Bilaspur DCCs, Harshwardhan Chauhan in Solan, Ajay Mahajan in Kangra Dehra, Ravi Thakur in Mandi Sunder Nagar, Vinod Sultanpuri in Sirmaur, Sunder Thakur in Kangra Palampur and Kishori Lal in Kangra Nurpur DCCs. Apart from this, Harbhajan Singh Bhajji and Kailash Parashar will coordinate with all PCC office bearers regarding the preparations of the rally," Chauhan said.

He added that the PCC president had directed all DCC presidents to coordinate with MLAs and block observers concerned to make the rally a success.
