With almost all senior leaders in attendance, Punjab Congress put up a united face at Captain Amarinder Singh’s Badlav Rally in Bathinda on Tuesday.

Highlights

*Will bring drug mafia to an end within four weeks of coming to power

*Akali Dal doesn’t think about development in Punjab

*We will provide free electricity to farmers in the state

*We will also provide land to Muslims and Christians for burial grounds

*Will give subsidised land and power to industry, bus permits to cooperatives formed by youth and throw open market for Punjabi TV channels.

*I will do whatever it takes to improve educational facilities in government schools across the state

*We will raise the amount of old age pension scheme to Rs 2000

*Special courts will be set up to handle cases of defence personnel and NRIs

*Congress will continue free electricity, atta-dal scheme and remove VAT on sugar after coming to power

*We will provide an amount of Rs 51,000 under the Shagun Scheme.

*Akali Dal doesn’t think about development in Punjab

Interestingly, Capt addressed the rally on the same site where the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) had organised the first of its Sadbhawna rallies on November 23.
