Punjab Congress Legislature Party chief Charanjit Singh Channi on Thursday said the “fund-starved” Akali Dal-BJP government in the state was wasting crores on publicity to “cover up its non-performance and non-governance” since 2007.

He said the Congress would approach the state Election Commission to stop this “misuse” at once because this all was being done to mislead the voters of Punjab.

The Badal government spent a whopping Rs 176 crore on promoting government achievements and now they have kept budget of Rs 150 crore in the election year, he said.
