Constable killed in road accident in Muktsar
Harjinder Singh, a head constable in the Punjab police, was killed on the spot while two of his companions were seriously injured when their Maruti car collided with a canter, coming from the opposite direction from Killianwali near Mehna village under the Lambi police station.

The injured Rajbir Singh, also a head constable, was deputed with Lambi police. As per sources, the two were deputed on the security duty on Thursday night and when the accident took place, they were on patrol duty.
The injured were first admitted to a hospital in Lambi from where they were referred to a hospital in Bathinda.
The Lambi police have registered a case against an unknown canter driver, who had fled the spot after the accident. The canter also overturned in the accident.
