The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum, Bathinda had ordered the HTC India Pvt. Ltd. Gurgaon to return the full amount of purchased mobile to consumer besides paying Rs 5000 as compensation.
The mobile company failed to provide appropriate handset to complainant Karan Monga (29) of Bathinda who purchased a mobile in November 2012. The complainant was given time and again old handset instead of his newly purchased handset that faced errors and use to get switched off on its own.
The complainant was not satisfied with the replaced handsets from a local dealer that too faced errors following which the complainant on September 27 this year filed a suit in consumer forum, Bathinda.
