A day after a Kalanaur resident ended his life and named a cop in his suicide note, the police on Monday booked head constable Sajjan Kumar for abetting the suicide.

Narsi, a resident of Kalanaur town in the district, had committed suicide by hanging himself at his house. In a note, he had held head constable Sajjan Kumar responsible for forcing him to take the extreme step.

Alleging that the policeman had been troubling him for a long time, Narsi's family members refused to accept the body after post-mortem. However, they took the body after much persuasion.

The police have registered a case against the head constable, but he has not been arrested so far.
