Cops rescue 6-yr-old girl from kidnappers

A PCR motorcycle squad rescued a six-year-old girl from the clutches of her alleged kidnappers near Arora Cinema at the Gill road and handed her over to the Shimlapuri police station. The Shimlapuri police have handed over the girl to her parents.

The accused have managed to escape and the cops have found the mobile phone of one of the accused.
The incident happened when the girl, a resident of Ambedkar Nagar, was alone at home. The accused allegedly kidnapped her from her home by luring her with chocolates. The accused were taking the victim along them. As they reached near the Gill Roadm, the victim started crying.

Noticing the crying girl, PCR cop Harjit Singh challenged the accused to stop. The accused left the girl and fled from the spot. In the attempt, the mobile phone of one of the accused fell down.

Meanwhile, the Shimlapuri police have initiated investigation in the case. The police have started the proceedings to register a case against unidentified persons and handed over the girl to her parents.
SHO at the Shimlapuri police station Inspector Balwinder Singh said the police havd been scanning the call details of the mobile phone to trace the accused.
