DC asks admn to complete projects on time

Sangrur deputy commissioner Gurlovleen Singh Sidhu on Monday directed the officials of the district administration to complete developmental projects on time and ensure better services to the people under the Right to Service Act.

During a meeting held here on Monday to review the progress of the developmental projects of the district, the deputy commissioner said it was the responsibility of the officials to ensure that the benefit of the welfare schemes should reach all.

Sidhu also directed the officials of the panchayat department to get encroachments removed from the panchyati land in their respective areas. He also took the stock of developmental projects launched under the Indira Awas Yojana, Self Help Groups, Mandi Board, irrigation department, drainage and sewerage departments.
