The controversy between the Gurdaspur DDPO and Sucha Singh Langah has deepened further with the Punjab Rural Development Officers Association deciding to go on indefinite strike until an FIR is registered against the latter.

The body decided to stage a sit-in before the Vikas Bhavan in Mohali from Monday, over the alleged phone-call threat by Langah on December 13 to kill Gurdaspur DDPO Jagwinderjit Singh Sandhu, for not allotting panchayat land of Kalanaur village on lease to some of his favourites as directed by him.
