Death anniversary of Major Sandeep Sagar observed in Panchkula

The death anniversary of Major Sandeep Sagar was observed at the roundabout of Sector 8/17 on Saturday. Sagar died while fighting enemy forces during the Kargil war.

Panchkula MLA Gian Chand Gupta, along with the parents of Sagar Prof Harbans Sagar and Raksha, paid tributes to him.

Gupta said the roundabout of Sector 8/17, which is known as Sandeep Sagar chowk, would be renovated with Rs 12 lakh amount.

Major Sandeep of Jammu and Kashmir light infantry was deployed in Naushera sub-sector in Rajouri near Line of Control (LoC) during Operation Vijay in 1999. He died in a landmine blast.
