Police on Sunday booked a Sukhpura Chowk-based financier and his three friends after a 29-year-old man complained the four sodomised him as he had failed to repay the debt.
The complainant told the Sabji Mandi police that a few months ago he had borrowed Rs 9,000 from the financier, who was now pressing him to pay Rs 27,000, which included Rs 18,000 as interest.
But the alleged victim defaulted, according to the police complaint. The debtor told the police that last Saturday, the financer and his three friends allegedly came to his house and took him along in their car and sodomised him, throwing him off in a field near Jasia village the next morning.
The debtor said he was too ashamed to disclose the incident to his family, but that he had to be rushed to hospital when his health deteriorated.
Police said medical examination of the victim confirmed sodomy.
Sabji Mandi police station incharge, Manisha told HT that the four people have been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The police officer, however, refused to identify the accused. "If newspapers publish their names, they might flee," the cop added.
