Sitting Rohtak MP and Congress nominee Deepender Singh Hooda would file his nomination papers on Friday, after holding a public meeting at Sector 6. Deepender would appear in public after a long time, as he was bedridden owing to severe back pain. In his absence, his wife Shweta Hooda and mother Asha Hooda have been campaigning for him.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) debutant candidate Naveen Jaihind would also file his nomination on Friday. Naveen, a former Maharshi Dayanand University student, said that he would go and file his nomination papers without any show off. He said that he would himself drive the WaganR car of party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and would pay tributes to freedom fighters and other martyrs.

Bharatiya Janata Party nominee Om Prakash Dhankar, who hails from Dhakla village of Jhajjar district, would file his papers on Saturday. Dhankar is also national president of BJP Kisan Morcha and considered close to Gujarat chief minister and saffron party's prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi. The party spokesperson said that Modi could attend a rally in Rohtak in the first week of April.
